~ BISDS Staff Training Fraser's Hill Trip ~ Day 1

Check out the many pictures we took during this short weekend trip. It was beneficial for all the staff who came, with training sessions conducted single-handedly by sis. Brabara Yen. She has so many years of experience and it was mind-opening to learn about the fundamentals of human psychology and importance of communication.

A total of 61 people convoyed in so many cars, with Bro. Chong leading the pack, migrating from Brickfields Buddhist Maha Vihara to Fraser's Hill. There were many U-turns along the way can you imagine about 10 cars tailgating in a row, then driving towards a deadend and making U-turn one by one...

Then the narrow winding road up and down Fraser's Hill.. luckily the driver in the car I sat in went really slow, or else I cant imagine how messy it is to vomit inside the car!!

There were 7 rooms, and not enough beds to fit so many of us, so some slept at the big 'living room' which is where our training is held the whole time. Sis. Brabara started the session by setting expectations, and asking us for problems that we're facing dealing with children.

There are many more reasonable ways to deal with children, escpecially 'special children', but in my mind I was wondering 'easier said than done'!! There were various concerns, some on teenagers, some on kids from welfare home, attention-seeker-child, boring kids, boring teachers etc... the discussions could go on and on if we were to cover everything.

On the way driving down from Fraser's Hill (check out Day 2).. the scenic sight along overseeing the magnificent dam was so breathtaking, that I would not imagine this is indeed MALAYSIA!

Just like my boss told his teachers,
The mediocre teacher tells,
The good teacher teaches,
The superior teacher explains,
the great teacher inspires!
So what type of teacher r u?

Sorry for the wrong quotes, a slip of the mouth tru no fault of the mind . taught by karunasara tee. the quote should sound like these:
the mediocre teacher tells,
The good teacher explains,
The superior teacher motivates,
and The Great Teacher Inspires ;
just like the Buddha(my own word)
Well, let us continue to inspire the young to learn n practise the Buddha Dhamma. I'm trying to do it now in my small Sunday Class/Group.
